Artist CV

Lara Gough is an oil painter based in the Northern Rivers of NSW/Bundjalung Country.
There are two distinct sides to Lara’s work—that of the dreamy flowers floating amongst refracted water and glass, and in contrast, the (often dead) fish, staring glassy eyed at the viewer.
The still life works are reflective of intimacy and sincerity, often representing subject matter of emotional significance.
Her fish works are born from a place of intrigue and exploration, walking the line between beautiful and grotesque.
